Annual Yard Sale that will support Mission in our community and beyond

We collect items year-round for this sale, which is held annually the 1st weekend in October. The funds raised will assist many nonprofit organizations and families in need. These people are invited to come and shop for free during this event and these same needs are also met for others as new needs arise during the year. This yard sale supports all of the other Woodstation Missions as well which all help people in our community and beyond.

Benevolence

  • This committee ministers to individuals and families during a time of hardship or crisis by temporarily assisting them with their basic needs. These needs might be for food, clothing, shelter, utilities or medication. We try to help them to get to a stable situation.


Christ Chapel

In Ringgold Georgia this organization is located at 223 Inman street. They are open to our community every day. Christ Chapel through collaboration with churches in our community provide food, clothing and resources to local individuals and families in need. Woodstation Church partners with them by making monthly monetary donations, holding quarterly food drives and our members volunteer at the facility quarterly doing various needed jobs.

Growing Stronger Exercise Class

Community Free Classes

This class is open to all people within our community. We begin our class with a time of fellowship and prayer. If you have Balance issues, this class will be perfect for your needs as we work the entire body. It is a 50-minute class that focuses on strengthening our arms, legs, and back using chairs, and we never get on the floor. Join us every Monday and Wednesday mornings at 10 am at the church. (13198 Alabama(151) Hwy.)

Home Bound ministries

Our church continually tries to keep our homebound people involved in any way we can. There are several ways we do this. Weekly there is online church available to everyone and we keep information flowing by mailing our weekly church bulletin to our homebound. Monthly /Quarterly every holiday at least there are several people that mail holiday cards to people helping them feel remembered and loved. At holidays our Women's group puts together fruit baskets and delivers them to our home bound people. Hopefully bringing them joy during Easter, and Thanksgiving/ Christmas. If you know of anyone that might fit this group of people, we would love to know of them so we can share our love and attention with them. Please email their information to us.

Snack Pack Ministy

In an effort to help feed children in our community who might need extra food on weekends or holidays our church delivers weekly snack packs to our partner school, Woodstation Elementary.
We work with the counselor at the school to identify children in need. Then checking with the parents beforehand, to see if they would like their child to participate, we provide each child with a snack pack to go home with them each week.
Each snack pack includes around eleven items of healthy foods containing protein, carbs, fruit and a treat. Currently we supply about 60 snack packs per week to our partner school.

Shoebox Ministry

Our Shoebox Ministry is an international evangelical ministry operated by Samaritan's Purse. This is an annual project for them and Woodsatation Church. The shoeboxes are packed with gifts for children and distributed worldwide. We also take a team of volunteers to Atlanta to work at the distribution center checking boxes, for approved items, and preparing them for shipment. Every child gets a gospel tract, in their language, with their box, spreading the Good News.
